For me it was magic. It was 1984, I was a young teenager and I was introduced to the original
mindframe of graffiti - and Hip Hop culture that instantly changed my life.
When I finally made my first trip to New York in 1992, the mission was about exploring the subway, experiencing the historic streets and parks and painting my name on walls especially in The Bronx, Harlem and Manhattan. For more than 25 years, I have focused most of my work as a tribute to what I consider the golden age of a culture that inspired my life in so many positive ways. My choice of images refers to a time before internet, to a time with limited information but a lot of young imagination...
