Yeye Weller

Yeye Weller is an artist duo from Münster that enriches the international creative scene with its very own style. In their work, they combine digital and analogue media to create colorful, humorous illustrations that are characterized by clear lines, playful figures and a cheerful retro aesthetic. Her works are reminiscent of old cartoons from the 1930s and at the same time allow modern pop culture and advertising aesthetics to shine through. Yeye Weller has worked with brands such as Adidas, Coca-Cola and Netflix and has won several awards for his unmistakable style. In their own description, they summarize their creative self-image as follows: "Hello, we are Yeye Weller. We work as an artist duo in Münster. We love colors, soccer and the sidecar cocktail." This likeable mixture of joie de vivre and irony is also reflected in their work. “There is no deep message behind our work,” they say, “our illustrations come as they are: cheerful, colorful and bright.” The focus is not on intellectual concepts, but on pure visual pleasure. With shrill colors and crazy characters, they manage to make the viewer forget a little bit of everyday life. This lightness is the program - and at the same time a confession: "It sounds a little trite, but that's what it's all about. Love is the trump card." Yeye Weller show that art doesn't have to be complicated to be touching. Her works invite you to smile, marvel and dream along. They make visible how much power there is in humor, color and creativity - and that sometimes a bright picture can say more than many words.
