Nick Flatt

Nick Flatt is a contemporary artist who has gained international recognition for his large-scale hyperrealist paintings and provocative installations. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Flatt studied art at the prestigious Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he developed his technical skills and unique style. Flatt is known for his impressively detailed portraits, which often stand out for their sheer size and photorealistic precision. His works reflect a critical examination of modern consumer society, social norms and pop culture. With a penchant for bright colors and bold subject matter, Flatt challenges viewers to question their own views and preconceptions. A central theme in Flatt's art is the depiction of power and desire. His portraits, which often show female models in confident and sometimes confrontational poses, play with the viewer's expectations and clichés. These depictions are often both a celebration of strength and a critique of the superficiality and constraints of modern society. Currently, Nick Flatt is expanding his repertoire by using airbrush techniques to paint blurred bouquets in the style of the Baroque period. These works combine the classical elements of baroque aesthetics with modern techniques, creating a fascinating blend of past and present.
