Lola Dupre

Lola Dupre is a self taught artist with no formal education. Instead her formative years were spent travelling across Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal and others, living and working in many studios. Learning and practicing painting, photography, animation and sculpture. Finally concentrating on paper collage art and illustration while working at the Chateau and Chalet studios in Glasgow Scotland. Her portfolio references the Dada movement of the early 20th Century and the digital manipulations of the present day, inspirations come from the world of fashion and art, historical and contemporary. Major influences include Jean-Paul Goude, Dora Kallmus, Serge Lutens, Leigh Bowery, Hieronymus Bosch and Bridget Riley. Over the past decade projects have included cover art with TIME Magazine and Penguin Classics, and assignments with Nike Basketball and The Atlantic Magazine. Exhibitions across Europe, Australia, Japan, USA, Canada, and Mexico among others. Exhibitions in 2023 include Prescription Art in London Engand, Gallery Toilet Laforet Harajuku in Tokyo Japan, Gallery Ergo in Seattle USA, and Affenfaust Galerie in Hamburg, Germany. Lola Dupre b.1982, now spends less time in cities and more time in the countryside. Peacefully working and adding to a portfolio of 100's of works. Planning on moving back to Spain from Scotland in the coming years.
