Flying Förtress
Flying Förtress was born in Munich and has lived and worked in Hamburg since 2007. Flying Förtress has been producing graffiti and street art for more than 25 years now, making him one of Germany's graffiti veterans. He became known worldwide for his Teddy Troopers. He developed this character because he wanted to move away from lettering and tags towards a visual language that would reach a wider public. He no longer wanted to communicate only within the graffiti scene, but to create a generally understandable icon from the coded signet of the graffiti tag in order to make his visual communication in public urban space more direct and uncoded.
