Lisa Golze

Lisa Golze (*1979, Bochum) has been working intensively on the nature of text (lat. textura = fabric) and the creation of meaning since studying literature. Based on the assumption that the text consists of contradictions and breaks and constantly questions itself, her work encourages changes in thinking. A line break, the deliberate placement, but also the removal and displacement of even the smallest sign - everything can open up new levels of meaning. The writer and artist lets the word itself have its say; by typing on a typewriter, the impact of the words flows tangibly into her work. During the first lockdown in 2020, she had the idea of publishing her concrete and visual poetry on Instagram under the name newgoldblatt. This was followed by invitations to various exhibitions, including in Hamburg and London. In 2024, Lisa Golze's work was discussed for the first time as part of the research project 'Poetry in the Digital Age' at the University of Hamburg. For AFFENFAUST, the artist has come up with a form of presentation that addresses the tension between her analog art form and its presentation in digital space. Her INSTA-llation, consisting of a small edition of large-format prints, will be on display at KNOTENPUNKT alongside other originals.
