Max Weiss

Max Weiss (*1995 in Berlin) is doing his Bachelor of fine arts at the Hochschule für bildendeKünste Hamburg (HFBK) in the class of Anselm Reyle.He works with the airbrush to create a digital look which is broken up by oil elements anddifferent materials such as fabrics and thick textures.Through an ironic approach, the subject is about the confrontation with unpleasant eventsthat characterize everyday life.Fears and worries such as relationship problems, rejection, loneliness and materialhardships should have a lightness through which the viewer can reflect on them withoutfalling into negative thoughts. By working with photos, the images always have a referenceto the real world. The figures within the image are represented as some sort of dolls that onlycome alive trough theire eyes.
