Liam Seear-Budd
Liam Seear-Budd is an Aotearoa-born, Melbourne-based artist working over painting, photography, and graphic design mediums. Best known for his stylistic approach to airbrush painting, Liam’s experimental practice stands as an evolution of nostalgia and past experiences. Harnessing feelings, emotions and memories is the driving force of the creative process, all artworks have undergone an extensive process of revision as it was moulded and coaxed into it's fully realised form, a process that Liam describes as being akin to therapy for him. Melding hallucinatory elements with nostalgic references into a kaleidoscope of fragments that merge together, the works emulate the feeling of trying to recall details of a dream; the emotions remain clear while the details evade attempts at focus and order.
