Ache 77

Born in Romania in 1991, Ache77 lives and works in Florence, Italy. The artist is widely recognised for the evocative power of his figurative compositions, particularly his iconic portraits, which establish a direct and silent connection with the viewer. His works are created using discarded spray cans mounted onto wooden panels and deliberately subjected to controlled oxidation processes. Rather than relying on traditional paint, Ache77 allows rust and the passage of time to shape the image, transforming natural ageing into an essential artistic medium. Through this distinctive technique, Ache77 merges elements of street art, sculpture, and painting into a unique visual language. His portraits explore themes of transience, memory, and the beauty of imperfection, resulting in works that captivate not only through their imagery but also through the extraordinary process of their creation.
