Vigdis

vigdis (b. 1989, Hamburg) is a German artist who studied art in Maastricht and has been creating since childhood.
Her painting is not a depiction of reality, but an attempt to create a world of her own. They are emotional spaces, concerned with feeling, tension, and ambivalence. Her works speak of chaos, comfort, and longing. For vigdis, freedom is not an abstract concept, but a lived reality. She has found her own rhythm: moving between the studio and family life with two children, between structured work and intuitive creation. Art is fluid. She creates work that does not explain, but allows us to feel what it means to be human, in all its facets.
