Me Lata

Me Lata has been creating urban art since 2014, transforming recycled cans into colourful artworks carrying positive messages. Each can promotes a simple idea: building a better world through love, optimism, and human connection.

Thousands of these works have been installed in public spaces across Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, Mallorca, Paris, London, La Rioja, and Madrid. Their aim is to humanise cities, brighten everyday life, and bring a smile to passers-by.

The name "Me Lata el Corazón" is a Spanish play on words combining lata (can) and latir (to beat), roughly translating to "My Heart Beats." It represents the joy of being alive and celebrates a love for life.

Over the years, the compositions, colours, and messages have continued to evolve. What began as urban interventions has developed into a body of sculptural works designed not only to transform public spaces but also to enrich interior environments.
