Aïssa Joud

Aïssa Joud (b. 1992) is a contemporary Moroccan mixed-media artist, designer, and cultural entrepreneur based in the historic landscape of Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco. He is the founder and director of Taman’art Space, an influential artist residency and creative laboratory dedicated to contemporary artistic practice.

A self-taught artist with a strong foundation in classical Arabic calligraphy, Joud has developed a distinctive visual language centred on the concept of the "Generation Bridge." Through this approach, he seeks to connect Morocco's rich cultural heritage with contemporary minimalism and the visual vocabulary of pop art.

His practice is deeply rooted in preserving collective memory, celebrating the dignity of working people, and exploring the poetic rhythms of everyday Moroccan life. By combining traditional cultural references with a refined contemporary aesthetic, Joud creates works that build meaningful connections between past and present.
